New debaters must attend a summer debate camp to learn the basics of debate theory before club starts.
We recommend that new debaters compete in Team Policy Debate first. This is a two person team style of debate that argues a resolution relating to a change in policy. Please carefully consider who will partner with your student. We have a Partner Survey form that might help with this process.

9:00am to 5:00pm each day

Bring your own lunches
Students bring notebook, pens, & 8 1/2 X 14 Legal Pad
Parents are encouraged to stay and learn with their child if possible.
Camp costs: $50 per student (covers facility & copying)
